I am thinking about going to school to obtain AAS in Information system Management. What should I do?

Posted by admin on May 14th, 2010 and filed under is information system | 1 Comment »

I am thinking of going to Berkley or Monroe college to obtain my associate in applied science in information systems management. However, I want to know what is the starting salary for those with that degree? I want to eventually go back for my Bachelor’s but i want to get my feel wet first. So again, how much can I expect to make after obtaining my associate (estimated salary). When choosing schools, what should i look for? Any tips and suggestions are appreciated.

i want to study the sam career as you.I find the estimate is around 65k up

http://www.pepperl-fuchs.us – The industrial vision VMT D/P System (palletizing/ depalletizing) solves many bin picking applications in various industrial automation applications. Industrial vision solutions from Pepperl+Fuchs range from vision sensors and laser sensors to sophisticaticated image processing systems.

In this application, 3D evaluation using camera technology and/or laser sensor systems provides information to control the robotic arm. After the intial scan, image information is sent to the control unit, which allows the robot to precisely select the product from the bin and transfer it to the next stage of production. The VMT vision system is ideal for container and pallet loading and unloading applications.

    Rich Media, Poor Democracy

Posted by admin on May 5th, 2010 and filed under is information system | 25 Comments »

    http://www.mediaed.org

If a key indicator of the health of a democracy is the state of its journalism, the United States is in deep trouble. In Rich Media, Poor Democracy, Robert McChesney lays the blame for this state of affairs squarely at the doors of the corporate boardrooms of big media, which far from delivering on their promises of more choice and more diversity, have organized a system characterized by a lack of competition, homogenization of opinion and formulaic programming.

Through numerous examples, McChesney, and media scholar, Mark Crispin Miller, demonstrate how journalism has been compromised by the corporate bosses of conglomerates such as Disney, Sony, Viacom, News Corp, and AOL Time Warner to produce a system of news that is high on sensationalism and low on information. They suggest that unless citizen activism can reclaim the commons, this new corporate system will be characterized by a rich media and an ever impoverished, poor democracy.
