Business or computer science & information system degree?
Hi, im here to ask for your opinion.
I been debating whether i should pursue a business or a computer science degree?
Now, I’ve always loved computer since i was little up to this date i do. I know my ins and outs in computers. I did take C++ and Visual Basic in high school but i felt like it was somewhat of a joke since the professor pretty much gave us the code we just plugged it in. Now i know you might say, well there’s your answer, but NO.
I have also improved in my current job and have managed to get a better position. I can see myself been a manager of some sort in a future but that’s why i was considering business and that is pretty much the only reason.
I dont know how much more difficult is computer science going to get as far as coding goes. I do understand and as i said I enjoy doing it but i dont know how difficult it might get, while making a degree difficult is not something im going to base my decision on, it is something i should consider.
Also i know computer science major to work on their field what they need the most is experience, but then again any major would be helpful been a manager at my current job. Considering there is a guy that has a master in chemistry and is a manager at my job which has nothing to do with chemistry.
Any computer science major, How was it to get Your B.A? Im currently going for my AAS. then my Bachelor. Now while im leaning more towards computer science, i want to see some opinions and what is out there. I’m not saying im going to base my choice in regards to your opinion but it would help me see further than what im seen, especially if people in that field help me.
Thanks!
If you are interested in management, get a Business degree in information systems. A MBA in information systems is needed to be the chief information officer in a company.
