WELCOM: Connecting Leaders to Global Issues
There is growing grassroots awareness about the impact of economic interdependence and how global challenges are now strongly interlinked.
How can the information revolution of the last decade — which has enabled the public to share information, knowledge and opinion worldwide — be extended to leaders from government, industry and civil society to assist them with decision-making and problem-solving?
The session focuses on WELCOM, an interactive platform built on Web 2.0 technology and developed by Industry and Strategic Partners of the World Economic Forum, which in 2009 will drive the Global Cooperation initiative and integrate all of the Forum’s communities into this exciting new endeavour.
