implementation is …
implementation is not “chair”. chair is the implementation.
Yes. Very much so. …
Yes. Very much so. I do think you phrased it aptly.
You seem to be …
You seem to be talking about parts vs systems thinking…
It’s as if we want to remove the person who is making the decision and the way the decision will be carried out from the problem of decision making itself…Unfortunately, there is no way to do that…
Thanks Corey I got …
Thanks Corey I got a look of thinking to start doing, I mean fro example I don’t even know specific practicalities of choosing occupation in media. English is specifically about teaching I think so maybe teaching is one route. Anyway I got six months to ponder these notions (he says without brushing anything under the carpet).
Study information …
Study information theory. There is an inverse relationship between information and intellegence. What we seek is intellegence.
For instance, the decimal expression of PI contains an infinite amount of information, but the intellegence of that numerical expression is very small.
PI is simply the “arctangent of one, multiplied by four”.
Nice comments and …
Nice comments and summation. I think too that you’re likely right about existential guilt
There is no …
There is no ultimate ground to decision making outside of the decision itself. Paralysis of analysis? The obsessional collection of more and more data cannot suture the clearing which is Man (Dasein). Information is subjectivized through the ‘implementation of decision’ (act).
The belief that available information can ground an act is symptomatic of our ultimate incompleteness/ignorance (re: open future); it’s the root of existential guilt. Information is useful but can’t absolve responsibility
Maybe. and that’s …
Maybe. and that’s interesting! The more that we forget our active role in implementing decisions, the more that all decisions seem to be of the ‘consumer-purchasing decision-type’
Interesting. Could …
Interesting. Could it happen that an increasing number of spheres of life are being permeated the kind of decision-making style it is required from us as consumers?
