What kind of jobs can someone get with a computer information systems bachelor degree?

computer information systems / management information systems. What would be the starting salary roughly?

You’ll be bored pretty quick if you didn’t know why you went into that field in the first place.

I’d say find something that you are really passionate about like coding or building HTML pages or whatever it is and pursue it with all your might.

A career will be born out of it and you will never regret it.

It doesn’t guarantee however how much you will earn from it, just that you will have fun, learn lots and live without regret.

  4. When I was in college, about 14 years ago, they really started pushing CIS as a major. Basically here’s what they said:

Computer Science majors will learn programming, and will have careers in programming. Lots of money…like around $100,000.

CIS majors will learn some programming, but mainly will learn computers from a "business major" perspective. CIS majors will get jobs as managers who manage CS majors. So CIS grads will be the bosses of CS grads. CIS majors would make around $100,000 as well, as senior management in large corporations.

I have no idea how true or false that info is. As I said before, my college was REALLY pushing students to major in CIS with all these promises of money.
