I want to do Software Engineering should I take Information System Technology or Computer Science as my major?

Im currently attending a college that offers Information System Technology for a full four years, they also offer Computer Science but it’s as an AA and is seamlessly transferable to an other close by University. I want to eventually become a Software Engineer which major is best for me?

In that case, you’ll want to do Computer Science, because you want to know what’s going on inside, rather than just how to be a power user.

Information Systems is if you want to become an IT guy, fixing desktop computers rather than kicking back in your office writing great code.
