What is the difference between an expert system and an information system?

please differentiate the two..!!and how about a "PAYMENT SYSTEM" used in a university..how will you classify it between the two systems..? thanks..!!!

hi .. expert system is any system used computer as a search tool , to find the possible solution . it used two important things
1) facts —-> some previous situation in related problem.
2) rules —> example : IF it is rainy
THEN take umbrella

information system : it is related to existing system and analysis it to improvement .

payment system : sorry i don’t not know about it.

An information system is purely searchable data. An expert system will ask information and deduce a final outcome.

With information YOU ask. With expert the COMPUTER asks.

I’m assuming that a payment system has to do with numbers.
