Knowledge Management Explained

Dave starts off by explaining why he’s not fond of the data-information-knowledge-wisdom approach (built on a systems thinking premise) of defining knowledge management. Dave believes that the function of knowledge management is to create a shared knowledge context; he uses an elegant metaphor (using a map versus a taxi to navigate around a new city) to explain the difference between data, information and knowledge.
