The main premise is that the point of beginning for the survey of Washington DC was on the east side of the Potomac? He suggests that the Rose Hill Estate locates the center line for something in DC. Rose Hill is at 77 01 30 while the center line of the district is at about 77 02 26.

He claims specifically that Rose Hill is on the EXACT same longitude as the Jefferson Memorial, located at 77 02 12? He also claims that the top corner and side of the district aligns with Monticello (on a 45 degree bearing). Go to a page where you can do distance and bearing calculations between locations http://www.fcc.gov/mb/audio/bickel/distance.html , there you can check this young man’s facts.

You can also go to http://www.fcc.gov/mb/audio/bickel/sprong.html , enter a beginning coordinate and bearing and distance, and it will tell you the end point of that line. Very useful in studies like these, if you can use them?
