Lawn Care Business Trailer Hookup Camera system to make lawn mower trailer positioning easier.

Posted by admin on April 29th, 2010 and filed under business information system | 4 Comments »

    http://www.StartALawnCareBusiness.com

This is Keith with StartALawnCareBusiness.com. Today I am showing you one of the most innovative products for the lawn care business I have seen in several years.

Anyone who has ever tried to hook up a lawn care trailer knows how frustrating it is to get the perfect position over the hitch ball.

The new Swift Hitch camera and receiver system allows you to get the perfect position every time.

This trailer hookup camera system is a very simple setup. The camera has a magnetic base that goes on your tailgate. Point the camera at your hitch ball and turn the camera on.

The display is a wireless 2.4 GHz receiver. Simply turn it on to get an idea of what your camera is seeing.

You have probably felt confused when you are backing up and looking in your rear view mirror. Swift Hitch has a neat function that allows it to give you a standard view and a reverse view of your hitch ball. This helps greatly when you are trying to understand if you should turn your steering wheel to the right or the left when making maneuvers.

There are 7 infrared transmitters on the Swift Hitch camera allowing the Swift Hitch system to work in absolute darkness.

The Swift Hitch also has a protective covering to protect it from rain while it is attached to your tailgate.

After positioning your truck’s hitch ball under your trailer tongue, properly hook up and secure the trailer and remove the swift hitch camera from your tailgate.

This is a complete one-man operation. Sitting in my truck I am able to use the receive to tell when I am perfectly position over the hitch ball. Removal of the camera is easy since it is attached with magnets. For attachments to non-metal surfaces an optional suction cup mounting plate is highly recommended.

Turn the camera and the receiver off and store them in their protective storage bags in your glove box. The batteries on both the camera and the receiver last about four hours before needing to be recharged. They recharge via an included cigarette lighter charger.

Swift Hitch, the perfect position, every time.

Business tv show: Google explains its fastest growing area

Posted by admin on April 20th, 2010 and filed under business information system | 13 Comments »

In this business tv show, Google’s European Enterprise Director Roberto Solimene explains the thinking that drives Google Enterprise, how they are working to organise the world’s information to make it more accessible and useful, and how these ideas could change the very way we work:

“So Google enterprise really was created like about three and a half years ago in the US. It started as I said before as a response to our customers or to the markets requesting to have a similar experience inside their companies as they had it on the internet. The first product was the Google search appliance and then in December 2004 we started the business here in Europe as well and it has been a fantastic growth.
We now have offices all over main Europe. We have sales, we have presales people, we have marketing people. We of course work together with the main Google organisation but it has been one of the fastest growing divisions inside the company.
The reason why there has been so much growth is because we have been simplifying tasks which were originally complex. So imagine using an iPod or using a TomTom, they are a very complex system in the background but very simple for the user. We want to bring the same experience to the users of our search appliance.
So imagine you are an employee and you go to the office and your searching your corporate intranet just as easily as when you are searching Google.com for example.
As a lot of people know our founders motto is to organise the world information and make it accessible and useful. We found out that more than 70 percent of the world’s information is actually behind a firewall. So imagine your corporate intranet, imagine your docs management system, imagine your databases, this is where most of the world’s information is.
We thought it was a great thing to do to bring our products to the corporate world as well as to the consumer world.”

10 Things Your Site Must Have
Getting these 10 things right will help you impress potential customers and compete more effectively with larger businesses.
When customers visit your website, they want information and they want it now. If they can’t find what they’re looking for, they can get frustrated pretty quickly and leave, or worse–they could wind up looking to one of your competitors for what they need.

It’s important to keep the user experience in mind when it comes to your site. This means you need to find a balance between your need to promote your business and your customers’ need to get the information they want.

So just what are customers looking for when them come to your site? Let’s get right to it. Here–in no particular order–are the top 10 things customers are trying to find on your site:
    1. Contact information, such as phone numbers, e-mail addresses and physical location

    2. Product information, which means in-depth information on the products or services you provide, including prices

    3. Samples of your products or previous work

    4. Support, including product information, troubleshooting help, FAQs, etc.

    5. The ability to shop, so customers can purchase products online or at least find a physical location where your products are being sold

    6. Company information, such as background information on the business and the management team

    7. News and announcements, including press releases and updated product or service enhancements

    8. Employment opportunities

    9. An easy way to get back to your home page. The home page is where all paths begin in the customer’s mind, and they want to be able to get back to your home page easily.

    10. Simple navigation that makes all these other items easy to find

    Kaleidescape Chose Epicor

Posted by admin on April 17th, 2010 and filed under decision making information system | 4 Comments »

“Epicor is going to be the central nervous system for the organization, so everyone will be interfacing, including Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance and Marketing…the combination of Epicor products will allow us to seize opportunity and execute well. It is a strategic weapon that we can use to analyze and move ahead ”
John Sykes, Director of IT, Kaleidescape.

    The Story:

    Business Challenges:
The presence of 5 disparate systems, lacking the ability to deliver timely information to managers, and the fact that many business opportunities were being missed due to lacking infrastructure, drove us to a technologically advanced .NET and SOA Epicor system.

    Solution :
Epicor is an easy-to-use solution designed to meet the needs of make-to-order and mixed-mode manufacturing companies, and Epicor Portal provides an out of the box installation which allows companies to customize and send out information and services through the Web.

    Business Benefits:
    - Improved tracking, inventory control and financial capabilities.
    - Stronger lean manufacturing technology and improved decision making based on real metrics.
    - .NET and SOA technical foundation for improved interchange with customer and suppliers.

    The Results:
“The entire Epicor solution we chose fit because it was within our budget, has a strong .net foundation with multi-currency capability, good report integration & UI, but most importantly we feel that we are working with a strong, credible partner in Epicor.”

IBM Commercial Data Anthem: A Smarter Planet Relies On Data Analysis

Posted by admin on April 14th, 2010 and filed under data information system | 6 Comments »

http://www.ibm.com/smarterplanet/us/en/index.html?cm_mmc=agus_brsp2hp-20100301-106aw01w-_-v-_-anthem-_-youtube Understanding data patterns is important to industries like healthcare, transportation and energy and utilities. The data visualizations featured within the commercial are based on real data sets taken from organizations across the globe. The volunteered information is shared between clinical and patient hospital divisions, the energy consumed by California residents and traffic patterns in Singapore. For that reason, efficient data management and analysis is essential to a Smarter Planet.

Voiceover: Our planet is alive with data. It’s generated by cars on a freeway. Patients in a hospital. Electricity in the grid. The more we understand data, the more answers we find. Patterns are easing traffic in over 400 cities. Finding disease 50 times faster. Reducing energy costs by 10%. On a smarter planet, we can analyze all the data we now see to make the world work better. Let’s build a smarter planet.
